Must Watch: Bob’s Burgers
Bob’s Burgers is a new animation from across the pond. It is obviously influenced by Family Guy and other Seth Macfarlene shows, however there is something fresh about it that has been lacking in recent series of said shows. The casting firstly is brilliant and you may recognize a voice or two. It may take a while to get into however it is well worth it by episode three we can already see that each character is well thought out and instantly likable although completely flawed. Each episode so far has been brilliant in the same way that family guy was from the off but at the same time the more you watch the funnier it gets. The stars of the show so far are the kids each one ridiculous. The way the show mixes the absurd with the touching whilst understanding comic timing and keeping it’s feet on the ground even with the unlimited possibility of animation makes it stand out as one of the best animated comedy shows to travel across the pond for some time. It’s hard to tell if it will muscle into the big leagues yet, but the first 3 episodes have been head and sholders above anything simpsons/family guy/south park have done in the last few years.
